French has been part of my life since I was seven years old. I started learning it in elementary school and continued throughout my school years. Somewhere along the way, French became much more than another subject. It became the language I loved and knew I wanted to make part of my future.
By the end of high school, I had become a prize winner in a national French language competition in Russia. That achievement gave me the opportunity to enter Moscow State University without entrance exams, where I chose to continue studying French and train professionally as a teacher.
I began tutoring while still at university, working with both children and adults at different levels.
Then my career took me in a different direction. I spent the next 15 years in international marketing, much of that time working in and with French companies. French was part of my everyday life. I used it in meetings and presentations, in emails and informal conversations, with French colleagues, partners, and clients. It was constant exposure to the language as it is actually spoken and used by native speakers, in a professional and culturally French environment.
Those 15 years gave me something no textbook could: the experience of using French not as a subject to be studied, but as a real language for working, thinking, communicating, and building relationships.
Today, I bring both worlds together - a strong academic foundation in French and language teaching, and 15 years of real-life experience using French beyond the classroom.
